WIHL: Water Is Fundamental For Living
Hi. Sorry for this late post. Last week I was at my employer's place for a Christmas party and kind of a new app starting camp.
Anyway, I was home last weekend and there was a problem with my home's water system. One line of the water pipe broke and we have to halt all incoming water to not flooding our home.
At first, I didn't realise how much it would affect me. But it did. We had to reserve water in a mini tank for toilet and another bucket for mouth washing. Every time I wanted to wash my hands, I couldn't do it easily. Having a shower, we needed to agree on the time, so we would turn on the valve and handle water pumping from the ground. Everything was just difficult, and living like that made me went crazy.
When the running water is effortless to have in my home, I just cannot recognize how fundamental it is. There would be a lot more in list of things we might just forget their importances. Electricity, gasoline, internet and mobile connectivity, food, those we have them in our house or it is just around the corner.
I've got a bit of a taste. It was just so little. There are a lot of people around the world who don't have access to water in their home. They may have a mini tank to reserve water, but how difficult it is to put water in the tank? The world is always unfair, isn't it? I hope one day I will have an opportunity and enough resources to help those people in need.
