About mixth

A journal kept slowly, by a software engineer from Bangkok with a year of Reykjavík in the margins. By day, software work and team-leading at ODDS; on the side, helping WeVis open up Thailand's civic data. Here: computers, history, the occasional bus ride.

I write here when there is something worth writing. That is to say: not often. The archive is shorter than I would like and longer than I expected. I am trying to make peace with that.

The pieces are essays in the small sense — a few hundred words, sometimes a thousand, sometimes longer when the thought needs more room. I write in English mostly, in Thai sometimes, and never in both at once unless the post is about translation, which is its own kind of writing.

There are no comments because I am not equipped to host that conversation, and there is no newsletter form on this page because I have not decided yet whether to start one. If something here has stayed with you, my email is at the bottom of every page. Short replies are welcome, long ones are better.
