Politics: A war of information
Recently, I have talked (fought) to my friend about Thailand oil situation fact. In Thailand, gasoline and diesel are quite expensive, compare to other neighbors. One of my friend shared one of a post about “True facts that never been told by the government” which included some stupid, unreal details about Thailand oil situation.
This talk (fight) leads me to many thoughts. One of them is, politics is really a war of information. When people believe in what they has been told without any researches, that really is a disaster. In Thailand, we have two big parties. They both own public satellite TV channels and some radio stations (unofficially). It would be okay, if people really think about what they have heard or watched. But here it’s not. Many of my relatives never think about how true is it in the news nor my friends.
How this country will be? One side listen only their news and never think, never discuss, never seek for the truths. In the past, I really believed that only one side said the truths and the others did not. But now? I’m listening to liars, many big liars. They do lie for their powers, money, and themselves. Not for the country. “Let people fight for us, use them as our tools. They will be hurt for us, for what they believe in.” (I’ve read that from their thoughts :P )
“Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.” ~ John F. Kennedy
STOP! being tools for politicians, guys. :)
